Holden and Mercutio

Holden identifies with Mercutio instead of Tybalt. He does this because he is more like Mercutio then Tybalt. They have more in common. Mercutio doesn't like the Capulets. One of the reasons he doesn't like them is because they are always concerned with the latest fashions and trends and they show off what they have. He is always ready to fight them. This is similar to Holden because he is always ready to fight phony people. He doesn't like people who act phony to others just like Mercutio doesn't like the Capulets for being to trendy. He also relates to Mercutio because he feels like the death of Mercutio is like the death of his brother Allie.
